While some licenses are widely known for delivering captivating and memorable single-player experiences, they do have a universe that could lend itself to designing a cooperative multiplayer experience. The proof with these five franchises.
#1 Marvel’s Spider-Man
With the introduction of the Miles Morales character in Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Games now has two superheroes available for licensing. It is therefore completely legitimate to imagine that a cooperative spin-off featuring the two could see the light of day, which would be quite brilliant.. Unless it happens with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2..?
#2 Grand Theft Auto
Alright, there’s GTA Online and it’s a real hit. But to this day, Rockstar has always been keen to ensure a distinction between single-player and multiplayer. Still, if the studio designed a true co-op adventure, the result would most likely be amazing.. And that’s why we ask to see, because there is clearly something to do.
#3 Pokemon

In several decades, Pokémon has already had the right to multiplayer elements in some of its opuses. Moreover, this will also be the case for Scarlet and Violet in November 2022. But to this day, there still hasn’t been a real episode geared towards a co-op experience.. Still, hunting Pokémon together and challenging each other could be really neat.
#4 Skyline

If it is clear that we would not exchange the solo mode of Horizon for anything in the world, it must still be admitted that the universe of the license could perfectly adapt to multiplayer. Imagine a spin-off in which many of us face huge machines in the forbidden West. Honestly, that could be cool, right? In addition, we know that Guerrilla has already thought about it…
#5 The Last of Us

With licenses like Uncharted and The Last of Us, Naughty Dog has truly proven itself to be a master when it comes to designing single-player narrative experiences. As a result, we can’t help but imagine what a co-op experience designed by the studio would look like, especially in a universe like The Last of Us.. Answer next year, perhaps?
