The Aniplex Online Fest 2022 event on Saturday announced the sequel to the anime series that follows Hajime Kamoshida’s Seishun Buta Yaro series (Rascal Don’t Dream) light novels. The event also revealed the main cast, crew, and a teaser promotional video.
The new anime project will cover the eighth and ninth novel volumes titled Seishun Buta Yaro wa Odake Sister no Yama Wo Minai (Rascal Don’t Dream of a Sister’s Venturing Out) and Seishun Buta Yaro wa Randoseru Girl no Yama Wo Minai (Rascal doesn’t Dream). ) of a knapsack child).
Cloverworks’ returning staff includes director Suichi Masui (Hitsugi no Chaka), Masahiro Yokotani (Hataraku Mau-sama!!) and character designer Satomi Tamura (22/7) for screenplay and series creation. The lead actors of the previous installments are reprising their roles.
The television anime aired in Fall 2018 in 13 episodes. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and streamed it on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu and Netflix. Seishun Buta Yaro wa Yumemiru Shjo no Yama Wo Minai (Rascal Don’t Dream of a Dreaming Girl) anime film opened in Japan in June 2019, adopting the sixth and seventh novel volumes.
Kamoshida debuted romantic comedy in April 2014 under the Dengeki Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Keiji Mizoguchi (Sakura-so no Pet no Kanjo). Kadokawa published the 11th volume in December 2020.
