As we end summer, the Riot Games Summer Rumble is back just in time.
Twitch Rivals, for those not familiar, is an esports tournament featuring Twitch streamers of various channel sizes and even some older professional players. This includes competitions in games ranging from Rust to League of Legends. And with the popularity of the latter game, Twitch established a partnership with Riot Games last year to put on “Twitch Rivals x Riot Games Summer Rumble”.
Following the success of last year’s event, Riot announced yesterday that they are bringing it back in 2022 as well. Like last year, the Summer Rumble will see 10 teams from across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) compete against each other.
A change from last year will be the games that the participants will play. Unlike last year, teams will not compete in Legends of Rantera, but will play Riot’s new tactical shooter Valorant, in addition to League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
Three captains in 10 teams are returning from last year. Team East captain Xnapycz, Team Türkiye captain KendineMuzisyen and finally last year’s winner Kamet0 who will captain Team France.
Summer Rumble 2022 will also include some gifts for fans attending the event. Viewers will have a chance to win a League of Legends Summoner Icon or Valorant Gun Buddy as a prize for viewing. According to Riot, the giveaway link will be shared during the broadcast on Wednesday, August 24, and the rewards will be limited.

How to Watch Summer Rumble 2022
The kick-off for the Summer Rumble event will take place this Monday, August 22 at 3 p.m. CEST. Like all Twitch Rivals events, fans can tune into the official Twitch Steam or official French and Spanish options on the Twitch Rivals channel, or they can choose to watch the streamers themselves who will be streaming.
