The Swedish studio behind successful VR titles, such as Demeo, Resolution Games, is currently hosting a VR esports tournament. Dubbed Blaston Championship 2022, it’s based on its popular 1v1 VR shooter Coat of arms.
The VR Blaston Championship 2022 esports tournament started last Monday. In fact, it includes two regional tournaments, including one for players from Europe and one for those from North America. It is therefore aimed exclusively at players in these areas. A total prize of $10,000 is up for grabs.
To win it, fans of the famous VR shooter will have to accumulate as many points as possible. They will allow them to access the finals of each region. These will take place on November 5 and 6. Resolution Games, in partnership with Challengermode and VRML, will stream them live on Twitch.
How to participate in the Resolution Games VR esports tournament?
By playing the ranked mode de Blaston, players from Europe and North America will automatically be entered into the Resolution Games VR esports tournament. Between this month and next month, they will have to do their best to rank among the top 100 players in the mode. They will then receive points.
Note that it is also possible to obtain them by participating in weekly challenges in-game. Resolution Games publishes them between Tuesdays and Thursdays. As mentioned above, the players with the most points will be able to access the finals of each region.
Either way, this VR esports tournament will find the best players in much of the Blaston community according to Tommy Palm. The CEO and founder of Resolution Games was quick to add that by organizing it, his team is opening up the world of professional esports competition to everybody.
