The official website for the upcoming anime film adaptation of Nao Iwamoto’s romance fantasy manga kin no kuni mizu no kuni ,Gold Country, Water Country) has started streaming the 45 second teaser trailer. The tagline is: “What we fell together was a love that could move nations.”
This clip is from the film’s two main voice actors – actors. introduces Kento Kaku (Simba Inn The Lion King Japanese dub) as Naranbayar and actress Minami Hamabe (Yumeko Jabami in the kakegurui live-action series) as Sarah. and popular anime voice actors soma sato (way in The Genius Prince’s Guide to Getting a Nation Out of Debt) serves as the descriptor of the clip. He has been an obvious fan of Iwamoto’s manga works since his college days and loves the original manga.
Kento Kaku’s message:
I am both honored and nervous to receive this offer. I was fascinated by the wonderful world of the original manga and the richness of the characters. The clumsiness and straightforwardness of Naran and Sara will surely touch the hearts of all who watch the film. I couldn’t stop my heartbeat while performing (laughs). I hope this wonderful story reaches many people. Please come to the theater!

My heart was wrapped in a warm story, and I felt as though I had been given my share of tender feelings. I have fond memories of struggling with everyone’s great help. When I was trapped the humanity of Sarah and Naranbayar, the presence of Kento Kaku-san, and above all, the cuteness of Lukman the dog and Odontchimeg cat who appeared in the film, excited me. The film is scheduled to be released in Japan in the spring of 2023. kotono watanabe ,Beetoom!) serves as director on a screenplay by Fumi Tsubota ,Hug! pre treatment series writer). Ruckus ,summer Wars) works on anime production.
The manga was first published for eight chapters in Shogakukan’s Monthly Flowers from 2014 to 2016. Then, its one-volume tankbon was released in July 2016 and has printed over 400,000 copies. It was voted number 1 in the women’s section of the guidebook “This Manga is Amazing! 2017”.
The publisher describes the synopsis of the manga as below:
Once upon a time, there were two neighboring countries which did not meet with each other.
They used to quarrel over small things every day. In the end, they went to war over the issue of cleaning dog feces. God quickly intervened and said to the heads of both countries,
Country A gives country B its most beautiful girl as a bride.
Country B gives country A its smartest young man as a groom.
Then, Princess Sarah of Country A meets a young man from Country B…!
