PS5 stock expected to increase by end of 2022
Published on July 29, the report indicates that a “significant improvement in the supply of components” is to be expected now that Shanghai is beginning to recover from the impact the lockdown has had on commercial and industrial activities. Thus, Sony announces that it has started working on an increase in PS5 supply in the coming months, and more specifically during the holiday season. “We plan to concentrate shipments in advance for the season” the firm announced to investors.
This should please the millions of players who are still waiting to get their hands on the famous sesame soon. All that remains now is to monitor the various points of sale for the arrival of these future stocks. During its financial statement, Sony also revealed that it has sold 21.7 million PS5s to date, including 2.4 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022/2023.. At the end of the latter, the manufacturer then hopes to reach 18 million units sold if we are to believe Hiroki Totoki, the financial director.
