
TO Books on Tuesday announced the 2023 television anime adaptation for Nozomu Mochitsuki’s Tearoon Teikoku Monogatari: Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story (Tearmoon Empire) novel. Mainichi Broadcasting System simultaneously opened an official website, revealing the main cast, crew, a teaser scene (pictured), and a teaser promotional video.
Sumir Usaka (Ijiranide, Nagatoro-san) is joining the cast as Mia Luna Tearmoon.

Mochitsuki began writing romance fantasy novels on the Shosetsuka ni Narou website in August 2018. Two Books began publishing the series in June 2019 with illustrations by Giles, with an 11th volume scheduled for release on 10 September.
Mizu Morino began producing a manga adaptation on the Comic Corona website in August 2019. Teo Books released the fourth volume on 15 February and the fifth volume scheduled to ship on 15 September. The series has a cumulative 850,000 copies of its novel and manga volumes. Print including digital edition.
J-Novel Club licensed both the novel and the manga adaptation in English in November 2019 and May 2022, respectively. The eighth novel volume and the first manga volume went on sale this July and August.
