
Are the temperatures rising above 35 in your area? Then again, playing games on your Nintendo Switch may not be a good idea. According to Nintendo, high temperatures can be harmful to the health of your Switch system. While it is imperative that hot temperature conditions can be harmful to such devices, the Japanese company took an additional step to make fans aware.

Nintendo Switch now has a massive user base of 107+ million. The user base is spread across the globe, with most of its fans residing in Japan. With temperatures touching the nearly 35-degree mark in regions around the world, Nintendo took the opportunity to remind users about the Switch’s seasonal limits.

In fact, users living in hot areas may even see a warning message notifying if the main unit temperature rises over the limit. Thereafter, the switch automatically goes into sleep mode to avoid any internal damage to the system.
A recent heat wave has seen temperatures reach above 35 °C (or 95 °F) in many states in the US. Parts of states such as Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma broke records as the heat dome vigorously affected temperatures.
Nintendo Switch sensitive to heat wave
According to Nintendo, Switch systems should only be used in temperatures between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius. In temperatures higher than 35, the system may trigger a warning message and shut down automatically. Indeed, Nintendo’s customer service on Twitter posted a warning yesterday to alert fans.

CS also advised users to keep the switch’s intake and exhaust ports free of dust. The lack of air flow between the two ports will cause the temperature of the main unit to rise. To avoid this, users should maintain the ambient room temperature below 35 and clean the dust from the ports using a vacuum cleaner.

When using the Switch with a TV, users should place the Nintendo Switch deck in a location where it won’t retain heat. In addition, Nintendo also asked users to bring their systems to an official service center in case there are any irreversible problems. In addition, users should not try to disassemble the main unit to avoid complications.
Gaming devices usually do a lot of processing, and hence, get overheated easily. It is better to use not just a Switch system, but a PC or any type of gaming console in the best condition possible.
