A new map was added to the game called Pearl at the beginning of Episode 5 of Valorant, and there’s more material on the way in the form of a new agent. While we are still far from their release at this stage, we are highlighting Everything you need to know so far about Valorant’s Agent 21 is codenamed Mage.
New Valorant Agent Codenamed ‘Mage’
There are very few details about Mage as of now, but one thing we can be sure of is her codename, which was uncovered by the well-known Valorant data miner ValorLeaks.
New Agent Codename: Dana | #VALORANT

The codename is buried within files and folders added to Valorant since the launch of the game’s most recent patch, which apparently lays the groundwork for Mage’s eventual addition to its roster in the future. Don’t expect the agent to be called Mage, though—it’s just a codename, as Bounty Hunter was the codename for Fed and Sprinter was Neon.
What type of agent is Dana? Answer
There’s no official confirmation about what type of agent-type mage this is going to be, but based on the release patterns added to Valorant in the past five or so, it seems like a controller-type would make the most sense. Is.
The Valorant only has four controllers: Brimstone, Omen, Viper and Astra. Other agent-types have all five, and the launch of Astra – the last controller added to the game – was back in February of 2021.

Following the launch of the latest Valorant Public Beta Environment (PBE), we have some information about Mage, which has been added to the practice arena. Taking a look at Brimstone’s office and the area below the range, there is a mention of a man named Varun Batra, a member of a new agency we haven’t heard of before called Realm. Varun Batra is said to be of interest to both the Alpha and Omega worlds (two worlds in conflict according to Valorant lore).
The name Varun Batra is of Indian origin, so assuming that Varun Batra is Mage’s real name, it is highly likely that he is from India. I think it’s probably understandable that we know that there is a major heroic community in India, and we don’t have any Indian agents in the game as of now.
The folks at Valorant Update have already done some digging on the name Varun Batra and found that there is a similar name in Hindu mythology – Varuna. Varuna is the god of the oceans in Hindu culture, which could possibly mean that Dana has some form of aquatic powers. This would correspond to the elemental nature of other agent abilities, such as fire (Phoenix), earth (Sage), and wind (Jet). Water is the only element that isn’t in play so far (even though Sage’s wall of ice appears as though it belongs to water).

The image above shows a symbol added to the board just opposite the border in PBE servers, which some have speculated may also be related to some kind of Hindu symbol. Of course, this could also just be a symbol of REALM, which, as mentioned earlier, is an agency we haven’t heard of in Valorant before.
It’s worth noting that most of the recently added Agents of Valorant’s roster all have related symbols that have been teased in some way prior to the game’s release, added to areas of existing maps, or other similar teasers. Huh.
Finally, in case you’re wondering about the image we used for this article’s thumbnail, it’s the player card belonging to the Glitter skin-line in the latest Battle Pass. While the presence of this woman probably doesn’t indicate a mage, we have a feeling that her supernatural form may be a teaser of the mage’s magical abilities in some way.
Potential Brave Agent Mage Abilities
Given that it’s so early in the build-up to the launch of Valorant Agent 21, we really have absolutely no idea what kind of abilities Mage might have. However, we can speculate that they would be water-based in some way, if indeed, the assumptions about the Indian origins of the maze and its connection to Hindu mythology prove to be accurate.
In any case, the codename Mage certainly suggests that Agent 21 would have some sort of power over the mystical arts, perhaps creating the ability to cast spells that blind to effects like smoke and/or some sort of magical hex. Enemies make players.
We will keep this article updated as we learn more in the coming weeks.
brave agent 21 mage release date
So, in the coming weeks, how long does it take for Agent 21 to release? Well, again, we don’t have official confirmation, but it looks like Mage will launch early in Act 2.
This is pure speculation, but if we compare the launch of Fracture last year with the release date of Chambers, which was the first agent added to Valorant after Fracture, it was about 9 weeks. Since Pearl launched in late June, this would mean that Act 2’s release would fall approximately 9 weeks after launch and would follow a similar cadence.
Again, we’ll keep you posted with new information whenever we hear it. For now, that is Valorant Agent 21, Mage . everything to know about, For more content on the game, search Twinfinit or check out some of the related pages below.
