The official website of Natsu e no Tunnel, the Sayonara no Deguchi (The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye) anime movie, revealed additional staff and a second trailer on Tuesday. The film, which adapted Mei Hachimoku’s mystery drama light novel, will open in Japan on September 9.

Singer-songwriter Eel (Tokyo Revengers Ending) is performing the theme song “Finale” and inserting the song “Pre-Romance”. The theme song is previewed in the second trailer below.
Tomohisa Taguchi (Kino no Taibi: The Beautiful World – The Animated Series) is directing and writing the film at animation studio Clap. Tomomi Yabuki (Tokyo Ghoul animation director) is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Harumi Fuki (Tsurune: Kazamei Koukou Kydoubu) is composing the music.
Hachimoku originally presented the novel at the 13th Shogakukan Light Novel Awards in 2018 and won both the Gagaga Award and the Jury Special Award. Shogakukan published the light novel illustrated by Kukka in July 2019.
