Modern Warfare 2 PlayStation Early Access Beta Start Time
Modern Warfare 2’s PlayStation Early Access beta has begun 16 September and will go live 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST,
PlayStation players who have pre-ordered or have a beta code can preload the beta on their PS4 or PS5 right now, so they can be ready to jump into matches right away.

Why is Modern Warfare 2 beta first on PlayStation?
Although Microsoft is in the process of acquiring Activision Blizzard, the deal hasn’t happened yet, so Sony’s marketing deal with Call of Duty still stands — meaning Modern Warfare 2’s beta will hit PlayStation consoles first .
Thanks to this deal, PlayStation players have early access to free cosmetics in alphas and betas, special modes, more Create-a-Class slots, and combat packs. On June 8, Activision confirmed that PlayStation players will receive a beta of Modern Warfare 2 at least five days earlier than any other platform.
Xbox players will receive similar benefits during the acquisition or not, but reports indicate that the PlayStation deal will remain in place for the next few CoD games.
