Flyquest vs Cloud9
There was no explosive opening game on the first day of play. Both foresters were mostly focused on farming, a pit stop from Blabber to get the first drake. But FLY answered with a great top side play where they got 3-for-1 at the top of First Blood for an opening 1k lead. However, FLY made a serious mistake as they started a fight after C9 took the first herald, and got the lead after a great turn from C9, which took the gold lead against FLY to 1.5k. FLY once again tried to put pressure on the top side, but Blaber’s Olaf was terrified after an early lead as C9 got three more kills, the first turret in the middle and a 5k lead in the 12th minute. Despite FLY getting a few kills in the middle game, C9 still got his third Drake for Hextech soul points. A minute before Spirit Point was generated, FLY tried to dive into the top lane, but a great spin from C9 as he salvaged the play with Berserker’s Pentakill.
With no FLY members on the map, C9 got Spirit and Baron, which increased their lead to almost 8k gold. C9 sieges the middle and bot, taking both blockers with his baron. FLY decided to engage after losing the second interception with a flank from Philippe, but they did not have a chance on the back of 12.5k gold as C9 finished the game in a dominant fashion.
- Teams: FLY – C9
- Time: 26:52
- Kills: 8 – 19
- Turret: 2 – 9
- Gold: 44.4k – 58.2k

100 Thieves Vs Dignitas
Coming into week six, Digg made some pretty big changes and was playing with three players from his academy in Hoon, Xue and Spawn.
100T started the game with a level two gank in the bot lane, even though he didn’t get a kill, he blew the flash of Digg ADC. Still, he got first blood when Ssumday got a solo kill in the top lane against Debut Hoon. We didn’t see any team moving for the initial first Drake until 100T got the first Herald unopposed, for which Digg eventually traded Drake. 100T in 10 mins had 1k gold lead as they had cs lead in most lanes. The second and third kills were also on top, three single kills from Sumday, even though they were helped somewhat by Closer’s presence. Except for the top side, the rest of the game was very slow as we had a 3k gold lead for 100T and a 2-1 Drake lead for Digg in 20 minutes. Digg tries to fight for his soul but is late to turn around as he loses Drake and two more are killed. With one of them being eXyu, 100T went straight and took the Baron, increasing their lead to 4.5k.
Digg then tried another teleport flank while 100T was laying siege, but it didn’t work and he lost the bot lane blocker for it. 100T ended their Baron play with a nearly 7k gold lead and an Infernal Soul Point. While awaiting objectives, 100T found a pick on Digg’s top laner and took two interceptions. With this advantage, they were able to attain an easy soul. And then they find two untimely murders in the woods of Digg and the game ends abruptly.
- Teams: 100T – DIG
- Time: 36:12
- Kills: 13 – 2
- Turret: 9 – 2
- Gold: 66.8k – 57.9k
- Dragons: 4 – 2
- Barons: 1 – 0
Team Liquid vs TSM
TSM tried to attack level one with their brooms, but this was not successful as they could not steal any camps or make any kills. There were no kills early in the game, but we still saw a lot of close action, with much of it concentrated in the bot lane. The TL bot pair came to the fore in the action which allowed their team to set up a 700 gold lead. The first objectives were traded with TL acquiring the Herald and TSM acquiring Drake. First blood also came in the bot lane for TL after a successful dive from Santorin, they were able to get the first turret using the Herald and increased their lead to almost 3k. Despite the TL bot lane being too far ahead and creating a lot of pressure around the map, which gave TL another herald, TSM managed to find some kills on Bewipo to trade another Drake for it. 20 kills were tied, but TL had a huge tower advantage with their active play and were ahead of 6k gold. At about 25 minutes TL finally got a fight without a trade, and with the death of three TSM members they got a free Baron for an 11k gold lead.
TL got two blockers with their Baron Siege. Even with a drake up, he decided to strive for the end rather than on purpose. Using his huge gold lead, he didn’t need Drake and ended the game with ease.
- Teams: TL – TSM
- Time: 28:36
- Kills: 11 – 5
- Turret: 10 – 1
- Gold: 57.7k – 44.1k
- Dragons: 1 – 2
- Barons: 1 – 0
Golden Guardian Vs Counter Logic Gaming
This was the first game we saw Rivers play on their new team after their trade to Dignitas.
Despite all eyes being on the river, the forest man of CLG was active. After blowing the Flash off the GG mid laner, CLG took an early top dive to give their team first blood. He then punished Flashless Ablagioliev and Dove Licorice once more, but GG responded with a great counter gank in the bot lane to get two kills for himself. GG’s bot lane advantage didn’t last long as they outsmarted the enemy leaving a massive 0 trade for 4 and fell behind 2k gold. CLG got the first Herald a little late but GG could not contest as they were far behind. GG got a few kills, but with most of it going in his support and CLG getting the first tower before the plate fell, CLG managed to defend most of their gold lead. GG slowed down enough to freeze mid game and reach soul point, but right after Drake, they lost three members and put up a bad fight with the Baron gifted to CLG.
With the Baron, the gold margin widened to 7.5k with Dhokla far ahead on the yon. Even though CLG found no blocker with their Baron, they extended their lead to over 10k and ramped up their map pressure to block GG’s spirit attempt. CLG then tried another Baron, but didn’t need the buff as he got two kills from a great Dhokla flank. He received his ace after a short game and teleported to the bot lane to end the game.
- Teams: GG – CLG
- Time: 36:56
- Kills: 9 – 20
- Turret: 2 – 10
- Gold: 59.1k – 70.5k
- Dragons: 3 – 2
- Barons: 0 – 1
immortal vs evil genius
The last game of the day began with two simultaneous fights with IMT ganking bot and EG getting the better side in the bot lane. No kills were found, but several summon spells were spent. There aren’t many ganks after punishing these, but EG at least got the first drake with his bot pressure. In response, IMT topped with three to receive First Blood on Revenge. Even with the advantage on the top side, IMT lost the first Herald fight 2-for-1 and the objective went to EG, while Danny got a single kill in the bot lane at Lost. EG then lost once again to Gancked Bot Killing, getting the first tower with plates and then getting his second Drake which extended the gold lead to 1.1k. Eiji’s objectives as the Second Herald dominated, but he lost the third Drake after the Impact died for the fourth time in the game. IMT also got the next Drake after another pick at Impact, but an extended fight meant three return kills for EG and a Baron.
The Baron’s push was not huge as EG found no internal towers, but they developed their gold lead nonetheless, approaching 6k in the 28th minute. EG got his interception after a triple kill from Danny, but he was caught by Revenge 30 seconds later and IMT got his own Baron. IMT also leveled Drake 3-3 and closed the gold gap to 2k. Just before Soul Impact and JoJo were caught, which meant that EG had no chance of contesting the election. Then IMT got another Baron after a great game of Revenge, which tied the gold despite almost everyone’s full build at this point. Nailbiter ended on Elder Drake as the Inspired had the clutch stolen and was easy ed IMT to end the day’s closest game.
- Teams: IMT – Easy
- Time: 46:20
- Kills: 15 – 18
- Turret: 5 – 9
- Gold: 80.4k – 83.4k
- Dragons: 4 – 4
- Barons: 2 – 1
