Team Liquid vs Counter Logic Gaming
The first game of the day began with a lot of trade in all lanes and the use of several summoners, but no kills came from the opening fight. First blood came from a Santorin gank in the bot lane as he punished the CLG pair for not having their shine. TL also controlled the top lane which allowed them to take an uncontested first Herald and CLG traded Drake for it first. Still, the gold lead for TL was around 1.5k in 10 minutes. CLG found its first kill in Jungle/Middle 2v2 from both teams. TL got the first tower in the top lane before the plates fell but CLG was able to respond with a kill on Bewipo, yet the gold lead was extended to 2k. CLG controlled the objective mid game by taking the Second Herald and they also took the Second Drake, even though TL fought it 5v5. But, TL flexed his team’s fighting muscles by securing two kills in the third Drake and delaying CLG’s soul attempt. Despite a 4k lead for TL, CLG forced a Baron and secured a 4-killer in the ensuing fight. He didn’t get the Baron but was rewarded with a soul point.
Biwipo was far ahead of Dhokla as he took a single blocker in the bottom lane, but CLG on the other hand won a big 4v4 and got Baron by hitting the enemy jungler. Before their soul point, CLG had almost tied the gold gap. Even though it was 5v5, TL decided not to contest and left Ocean Souls. TL tried to fight before the siege, but Palafox found a single kill on a flanking Bjargsen. Now 3.5k gold ahead, CLG extended its advantage and engaged one more time. They ended the game after winning the TL.

Golden Guardian vs Cloud9
GG had a very aggressive early game with a 3-minute single kill in the top lane for Licorice and a jungle gank blowing both totals off the C9 ADC. C9 still had enough bot pressure to get the first Drake, but GG responded with another top side kill as they pushed their opening lead to 1k. C9 began to remove the Herald from losses and GG countered them, with both teams getting four kills in the ensuing fight, but with the reset map reset, the Herald went to GG. GG used it to get to the top tower and extend his lead to over 2k. Even though C9 got their second Drake mid game, GG made great use of their top side’s advantage to extend their tower and kill the lead and widen the gold gap to 6k in 20 minutes. With this kind of leadership, GG was able to get an unopposed Baron as it was born.
Even with Baron fond, GG made a wrong move in a forest, ruining his loss. He was followed by two kills and soul points to the C9 squad. GG then tried to lay siege after their Baron, and C9 found two more kills as Jensen had another great Taliah play and the lead was pushed back to 3k. C9 then found three kills around the Baron, meaning he got both Baron and Hextec Soul. Just before the buff ended, C9 got a team fight, where they got four kills for zero, and had a 6k gold lead. With the respawn timer long enough, the fight win meant that C9 ended the game.
- Teams: GG – C9
- Time: 31:09
- Kills: 13 – 18
- Turret: 5 – 8
- Gold: 53.6k – 59.7k

100 Thieves Vs Evil Geniuses
We didn’t see action very early in our two top teams clash. Both junglers mostly wanted to cover alleys rather than dodge themselves, and neither of them had any interest in the early drake. 100T opted to start the first Herald at spawn, but they just decided to accept when EG showed up with five guys. Coming out of his reset, Eiji also got the First Herald, but the gold was still there at this point. Despite several close calls, neither team received a hit when the plate fell. 100T got First Blood in the middle lane after a great engagement from Abedgage, which allowed them to get their first Drake and set a 1k gold lead. 100T then started the Second Herald, and even though they couldn’t secure the objective, they got an ace as Abedge got the quadra kill. During the middle game, 100T kept looking for kills around the map and pushed the gold lead to 3k, but EG still got the second drake of the game. As we got closer to minute 30 the game slowed down again, with a lead of 4k 100t gold, which also had the advantage of scaling.
We saw this scaling advantage during the fight in the top lane in the 30th minute as EG got a pick on Huhi but still lost 4v5. 100T used this win to secure themselves a Baron and increase the gold margin to 8k. EG tried to stop the siege by picking up Abedag, but 100T once again traded two kill backs and tried to finish by teepeeing in his middle lane. At this point, they were 10k gold ahead and two of EG’s players had yet to respond, meaning they easily ended the game.
- Teams: 100T – Easy
- Time: 32:28
- Kills: 17 – 7
- Turret: 9 – 2
- Gold: 64.4k – 52.8k
- Dragons: 2 – 2

Amar vs TSM
IMT continued with their more active opening games this week as Kenvi took bot lane level two after taking his red, and managed to get first blood for himself. But TSM responded swiftly with their kill as they found one on the roaming IgNar. But even after both teams quickly headed down the bot lane, neither Drake elected to take over. Eventually, TSM claimed that objective because they could not compete with the IMT who had taken the First Herald. IMT had a 2k gold lead when the plates fell as they took the first tower just before that, even though the kills were tied 2-2. TSM then contested the second Herald election which was initiated by IMT. They manage to steal the objective and decide to engage in a team fight. But Aatrox of Revenge was far ahead as IMT traded three kills for zero and extended their lead to 4k. Using his Vision Control, IMT went for the Baron in 5v5 and TSM was in no position to contest.
The siege from IMT was very effective with the buffs and they found several towers in the bot and mid lane. He also got soul points as soon as his Baron finished and had over 9k gold lead with an open bot blocker. Around minute 28, IMT made a top side play with a teleport and after a 2-for-1 trade, they secured their second Baron of the game. TSM was caught taking sight before Sol Drake and IMT got four more kills after a great engagement. With the double TP still available, he went ahead and finished the game.
- Teams: IMT – TSM
- Time: 30:42
- Kills: 12 – 5
- Turret: 11 – 0
- Gold: 60.3k – 46.9k
- Dragons: 3 – 1
- Barons: 2 – 0
Dignitas vs Flyquest
The game started after some delay as we had a technical pause due to some ping issues, and then there was another pause at minute 4. There was no action in the game before the second pause.
After the issues were resolved, the state of the game was very slow. The first action we saw was a top dive attempt from FLY, but Gamsu managed to survive. However, he died minutes later when he fell again, and FLY used his man’s advantage to secure the first Herald. It was the first game of the day where we didn’t see a sub-10-minute first Drake, but FLY still used their bot pressure to secure it. While most of the opening game was the same, Digg took a 1k lead after a poor attacking effort from FLY Jungler and the top laner. Unfortunately for them, it went by quickly as they came clean at the Battle of the Second Herald after a great engagement from Toucoil. Digg also couldn’t match the soul point for FLY as they were behind 3k gold and Jose’s engagement to Gamsu after escaping. While FLY was ahead in the game, Digg had a great call to sneak up on the Baron without seeing the enemy and they were able to secure the objective, but that meant FLY got a free ocean spirit.
The Baron buff period wasn’t very efficient for Digg, but it at least allowed them to reduce the gold gap to 1.5k. Just before the Elder was born we saw FLY take on a Baron of his own, once again unopposed. The fight took place on the Elder where we saw FLY get the target in the middle of the enemy after the dig over. With a powerful buff, FLY hits the enemy and ends the game.
- Teams: DIG – FLY
- Time: 35:24
- Kills: 2 – 11
- Turret: 1 – 8
- Gold: 56.8k – 66.6k
- Dragons: 0 – 5
- Barons: 1 – 1
