In Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker, you can catch and raise animals in your own private paradise at the Island Sanctuary. Some animals are harder to find than others because they only breed in specific weather conditions or at certain times. follow us ffxiv Guide to find out where rare animals are located and under what conditions they need to lay eggs.
There is currently a bug where some rare animals will not lay eggs. This happens to animals that have the need of both weather and timeBut the Island Sanctuary discord community has found a temporary fix that works for some.
To breed a rare animal that requires both weather and time, you must:
- There are no other players on your island
- Leave your island before the weather changes (midnight, 8 a.m., 4 p.m. hours)
- Wait 5 erzen minutes before the rare monster’s spawn time
- Load back into your island, and check to see if your monster is born.
The spawn status of each rare animal is listed below.
