The Horizon series’ alloys have incredibly complex forms, and a cosplayer went to extraordinary lengths to bring one to life.
Horizon Forbidden West And Horizon Zero DawnAlloy is one of the most beloved gaming heroes introduced in the last decade, and a fan went to incredible extremes to bring the character Zero Dawn look at life.
Popular cosplayer Kamui (@KamuiCosplay) recently took an in-depth look at the process of recreating Alloy’s outfit, showing off the entire process in a video uploaded to Twitter. It’s a huge task, but the results speak for themselves – Kamui’s alloy really looks like it’s been plucked straight from a 2017 video game screenshot.

The process behind Kamui’s alloys is incredibly complex. In addition to the intensely impressive sewing and painting that can be expected from a cosplay of this caliber, Alloy’s costume also required a lot of 3D printing, which looks like leatherwork, and of course, duct Absolutely impossible amount of tape. Eagle-eyed viewers will also see a corgi, which, of course, is helping, floating in the background for a while.
More recently, Kamui also featured a video showing the typical process of spear making an alloy. Like his armor, the spear is an incredibly accurate recreation of the game. Unlike armor, it doesn’t have many crafts to be mastered; The spear is made entirely of foam and spray paint, with some finer details added later.

Alloy was introduced in 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn, and this is the game from which Kamui’s cosplay draws the most direct inspiration. Most recently, however, the character headed to 2022. Horizon Forbidden West, the sequel to the previous title. Both games give the alloy a very different look for cosplayers to use.

Horizon Zero Dawn Also available on Microsoft Windows, but Forbidden West remains a console exclusive as of the time of writing.
