Every team qualified for The International 2022.
Now that the PGL Arlington Major 2022 is over, all eyes are on the upcoming The International 2022. The biggest Dota 2 event in the world will kick off about two months from now, and will feature the best players. Needless to say, this tournament always involves a life-changing prize pool, which is why players give their all to win.
Before providing more options for top Dota 2 betting site The International, we’ll have to wait and see the name of each team that will be participating in the event. Speaking of the devil, we already know everyone who got a direct invite after accumulating enough DPC points. Some of our favorite teams barely made it to the cutoff, while others failed to impress and will have to go through the qualifiers.
The International 2022 will take place in Singapore from 15 to 30 October and will take place 20 times. That being said, here is an overview of all the 12 teams that have qualified for the event so far. To know the names of the other 8 teams, we will have to wait till the qualification is over.
We have to start by addressing the elephant in the room. PSG.LGD became the team with the most DPC points, so it was not surprising that it made it to The International 2022.
One of the first things that comes to mind when you think of this Chinese powerhouse is world stability. Ame and the rest of the Dota 2 teams have been the most dominant over the years. He has made it to several TI Finals and always finished in the top 4 in every event.
PSG.LGD had no problems during Tour 1 and 2, but it did have some hiccups in Tour 3. Fortunately, the team made a comeback and won the Riyadh Major 2022. In addition, it reached the Grand Final of the PGL Arlington Major 2022.
The young Western European powerhouse finished second in terms of DPC points and will travel to Singapore for The International. People were skeptical about OG’s decision to get a new roster, but it paid off.
Despite the young age of the players, Ozzy quickly proved he had what it takes to win against the best in the world. The team’s performance was initially not the best, but it won the ESL One Stockholm 2022 Major. It also performed well at non-DPC events in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
Unsurprisingly, the two-time TI-winning outfit will be one of the leading contenders for the event.
Of course, Team Spirit is the third team we’ll get a chance to see two months from now. The defending TI champions will do everything possible to become the second team after OG to win two consecutive TIs.
Although we expected Yatoro and the rest to be under the influence of the TI-winning curse, that didn’t happen. Team Spirit played really well throughout the year and had no problems in Eastern Europe. Recently, Superstar reached the final of Riyadh Major 2022 and won the PGL Arlington Major 2022.
Team Spirit will undoubtedly be one of the big favorites to win this event. So, don’t be surprised if their odds aren’t as impressive as you thought.
The first South American team to head to the Major is called the Beastcoast. Although it was one of the lowest rated teams in the DPC, BC have already proven themselves countless times. They have yet to win a major international competition, but Chris Luck and the rest beat several top names in Dota 2.
BC’s most recent result was 5–6th place at the PGL Arlington Major 2022. For TI 11, Beastcoast finished 13–16 after losing against Alliance.
Besides PSG.LGD, Team Aster is the second major Chinese team that will do everything in their power to win the most prestigious Dota 2 event. Ori and the rest have been under LGD’s shadow for a long time, but the 2021 roster change has put the team back on the map.
Astor experienced no problems during Tours 1, 2, and 3 and reached the LB Finals of the PGL Arlington Major 2022. The team certainly has what it takes to win, and its superstars have many years of experience. The latter is extremely important for events like The International.
Although the Thunder Awakens were flawless in South America, the team has yet to show their skills on the international stage. What better place for this than The International 2022, which kicks off in just two months.
The fight between the team of Darkmango and BC is always fun to watch as both the teams claim to be the best in South Africa. BC certainly have an advantage after their most recent performance, but we are yet to see which team will come out on top.
Everyone who actively follows the SEA Dota 2 scene knows that Boom Esports is one of the most stable teams in the past few years. Yopz and the rest finished first in Tour 1 and Tour 3 and second in Tour 2.
Even more impressively, the SEA powerhouse won the GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022. The latter was the larger LAN event that was not part of the DPC which involved several top tier teams including OG and Nigma Galaxy. ,
Not many might consider Boom a favorite, but this team is unpredictable. This makes them dangerous rivals.
Even though TSM did not live up to the expectations of its fans after not qualifying for the final Major, the team will take part in The International 2022. One reason this squad left is because it has reached the Grand Finals of the first Major.
Following his achievement, the team finished fourth in Tour 3 and became one of the first names to be pulled out of the Riyadh Masters 2022. Needless to say, YawaR and the rest will have to step up their game if they want to have any chance of winning.
When it comes to underperforming teams, Tundra Esports is undoubtedly one of the names that come to mind. The WEU squad dominated the field for a few months, but its latest results have been disappointing, to say the least.
After finishing first in Tour 3, the Tundra Esports Riyadh Major 2022 and failed to impress during the second Major. The team should focus and show their skills as they have to go against the best in the world.
The next European team that received a direct invitation to The International 2022 after scoring enough DPC points is the Gammin Gladiators. Most people didn’t expect this team to do well, especially in the most competitive Dota 2 arena. However, Boom and co. Already proved himself a couple of times and will definitely be among the dangerous teams in TI 11.
If there’s one team that has certainly let a lot of people down, it’s the Evil Geniuses. Despite having one of the best rosters in the world, the North American team is not on the same level as their European Union and Chinese counterparts.
After an epic fail at ESL One Stockholm 2022, the team also failed to impress in Arlington a few days ago. The only good thing is that EG usually does well at The International, judging by its past results. Of course, we are yet to see whether the team will be able to show their skills and win the competition for the second time after 2015.
The last team that barely made it to the direct invites is Fnatic. Many expected the Outsiders (VP) to be on this list, but since Fnatic played with substitutes during the PGL Arlington Major 2022, the team scored enough DPC points to allow them to finish 12th.
Fnatic has always been a force in the SEA, but has yet to win a major international Dota 2 competition.
