
The 12th and final episode of Hataraku Maou-sama!’s (The Devil Is a Part-timer!) announced Thursday that an anime sequel is in the making. official twitter too revealed A key scene (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
The anime adapts Satoshi Waghara’s fantasy light novel, which originally began as a novel submission under the title Moujou wa Rokujou Hitoma! (The Devil’s Castle in a Six-Tatami Room!) won the Silver Award for the 17th Dengeki Taisho Awards in November 2010 and with Antiliteral No Arcanist. Dengeki Bunko began publishing the novel the following February featuring illustrations by 029 (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) and shipped the 21st and final volume on August 2022. Hataraku Maou-sama! There are over 3.5 million cumulative copies of its volumes in circulation.
Akio Hiragi began making a manga adaptation in Dengeki Daioh in December 2011. Kadokawa shipped the 19th volume on February 26.
Yen Press licensed both the light novel and the manga adaptation in English in August 2014. The 21st Light Novel Volume went on sale on 19 April. The 18th manga volume was released on 24 May, with the 19th volume scheduled to be released on 22 November.
White Fox produced the first anime season in Spring 2013, followed by a second anime season in Summer 2022 by Studio 3Hz.
