There are loot boxes, five characters you can pay to unlock, a Season Pass and the Deluxe Edition that includes premium currency that you must use in 120 days or it will expire! If you put in enough time you can grind it into the free tier and earn enough non-premium currency to unlock Gundam, but you’ll have a pretty boring looking profile in the long run. At least it’s not locking new characters behind a battle pass like overwatch 2,
