EVO 2022 has released its registration numbers for its various sports.
EVO 2022 is going down next month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Returning to a full-scale in-person event, EVO is one of the largest annual tournament events in esports. Players from all over the world will come face to face with the presence of fans and press in various fighting games. With registrations now closed, EVO 2022 has revealed its registration numbers, with Guilty Gear Strive being the most popular title.
EVO announces its 2022 event registration numbers in a tweet earlier today. The event has tournaments for nine sports, and according to the organization, competitors from 63 different countries will participate. These are the registration numbers for each game in EVO 2022.
Guilty Gear Strive is the most registered game in EVO 2022.

Guilty Gear Strive is the most registered game in EVO 2022, with 2,161 players signing up to compete in an Arc System Works fighter. This should come as no surprise, given how strongly FGC has taken on GGST since its release, keeping the meta fresh, in addition to the post-launch support it received from the developer. Street Fighter 5 has also remained highly popular all these years in its life cycle, with 1,320 competitors registering to compete.
While the EVO 2022 line-up has a wide variety of games and a strong support from the players behind them, it’s hard to ignore the absence of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a longtime EVO staple. This was certainly a decision on Nintendo’s part earlier this year. It will also be the first EVO since Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired the esports event in March.
