Gran Turismo 7 will welcome the Parisian haute couture house Dior in a new collaboration announced last Saturday.
When I tell you that Sony made a big announcement during the Gran Turismo World Series 2022 last Saturday, you are bound to think that there is a car story somewhere, of an exclusive concept car for GT7, of something that smells strongly of bitumen and asphalt. And although no, because instead of all that, it’s a partnership between the house of Dior and automotive simulation that was announced with all the rhinestones and glitter of rigor. A presentation video has also been put online to present the supporters of this unexpected collaboration.
Gran Turismo 7 plays it very, very chic with Dior
It is Kim Jones, creative director at Dior Homme, who signed this new collaboration of virtual running clothes for the Polypohony Digital game. Concretely, this translates into the upcoming arrival of a yellow and gray jumpsuit, but also “reinterpreted” Diorizon shoes and the helmet/glove combo that goes well with it.
In addition to this racing driver outfit cut in the Parisian Golden Triangle style, the De Tomaso Mangusta will also receive an exclusive design – also drawing on golden colors, and bearing the name of the Parisian house on the side. As with the running gear, the Mangusta will display the number 47 — the year of Christian Dior’s first show. It will be available in the Legends of Hagertyn collection without further information on its in-game price. But no doubt that luxury obliges, it will be necessary to hurt your wallet a little to show off your standing. The Gran Turismo × Dior Pack will go live in Gran Turismo 7 on August 25 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
