After a summer full of delays and controversial leaks, we finally have a definitive date Genshin ImpakT’s big Sumeru update. The 3.0 update, which will explore a new area and introduce new elemental power to the game, will be released on August 24, developer Hoover says. A packed stream on Saturday revealed a new story trailer and previously confirmed three characters from Sumeru to appear on the Wish banner: Koli, Tighnari and Dori.
The first set of stories will be released during versions 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2, and will be contained in two acts: “Through the Smoke and the Darkness of the Forests” and “The Morn a Thousand Roses Bring.” The developer released a new trailer teasing the second part of the story where dancer Neelu tries to dance and plan a celebration for Dendro Arkan’s birthday, but is stopped by city scholars.
The developers also announced the schedule for subsequent patches. Patch 3.1 will be released on September 28; 3.2 will come on November 2nd; And 3.3 will be released on December. Subsequent updates on December 7th are rolling out on a slightly speeded-up schedule that will fix previous delays with the game over the summer.

The developers also revealed which characters will be featured with higher drop rates for Wish on upcoming banners. The first phase will have two banners, one featuring Tingri and the other featuring Jhongli. Four-star Collei will receive a boosted drop rate on both banners. (Tingnari is being added to the standard banner after 3.1, so players will always have a small chance of getting him, regardless of the banner pictured.)
Five-star Forest Ranger Tighnari will receive a story quest, “Vulpes Zerda Chapter: Act 1”, where players will learn more about him and gain a better understanding of a corrosive phenomenon in the jungle known as The Withering. Is.

The second phase will feature banners for Ganyu and Sangonomiya Kokomi, both of which will feature high drop rates for Dori, a four-star trader. Players who don’t wish on Banner will still be able to unlock the Dendro archer Collie if they complete the tutorial quest for his program.
In addition to confirming a lot of logistics, the stream showed more territory. The developers took visitors on a tour of the city of Sumeru, which is built around a giant tree and includes landmarks such as a market, cafe and academia, which serves as a center for scholars. We also saw the seaside town, Port Ormos and the mushroom forest called Avidya Forest.
Other miscellaneous highlights include two new artifact sets and a new boss called ZedPlume Terrashroom. And as always, Hoovers released tracks for the new Sumeru soundtrack, which features a live orchestral performance.
