Full Sail UniversityA Florida-based technical university has partnered with special olympics‘ United States branch.
As a result, both sides will cooperate to host the inauguration. USA Games Unified Esports Invitational Tournament.

The tournament will take place in the university’s dedicated esports area, known as the Fort. Invitational includes in-person and virtual competition in Rocket League.
In addition, both parties have joined forces with the television network. ESPN To broadcast the event on its ESPN 3 channel, along with the Twitch channels of Special Olympics and Full Sail.

We are honored to collaborate with USA Games Because they start this esports invitational.”
The Special Olympics is an International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognized sporting event for people with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Special Olympics is no stranger to esports. In September 2021, it partnered with amateur esports platform PlayVS to pilot its esports initiative.
The deal is another addition to Full Sail University’s impressive partnership roster. In January 2022, it partnered with streaming platform Klic.gg to host the Madden 22 tournament, and in July 2021 it joined forces with tournament organizer DreamHack.

Esports Insider says: Esports is all-inclusive and partnering with Full Sail Special Olympics to host the tournament is a great way to show this. Depending on the success of the Invitational, further tournaments are likely to take place.
