There have been some changes.
The latest season had brought old weapons back into relevance and new ones. We’re going to cover what all of this season’s weapons are, plus which are the best Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 weapons.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Weapon Tier List
We’ll break down why each weapon sits below. If you just want a quick list, that’s roughly where it all sits for this season.
- S Tier – Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper, Prime Shotgun, DMR, suppressed smg
- one level – lever action shotgun, Hammer Assault Rifle, Rapid Fire SMG, Evochrome Burst Rifle
- B Tier – EvoChrome Shotgun, Ranger Assault Rifle Sidearm Pistol
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Weapon Tier List – S Tier
This is the top level of the game. This is the gear you want to find as many times as you can. Sometimes, these guns deserve to be carried in a less rarity than those lower on the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Tier list. These are the best weapons:
Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper
The sniper is back this season. This weapon has been greatly improved in the Chapter 3 Season 4 patch notes. One-shot kill is back. This is a huge boost compared to the last few seasons. On top of this though, the gun has reverted to firing three shots in a single round instead of being a single shot. These are basically two big boosts to this.
In the past, when the sniper got three shots, his power was reduced. However, this season it can once again hit a one-shot kill. it is too big. Plus, if you can hit the head, each shot has the potential to kill, even in zero builds. The bolt-action sniper isn’t for everyone, but these hobbyists have clearly made it one of the easiest picks to top the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 weapons list.
If you have good accuracy, this season’s bolt-action sniper is a must-carry.
prime shotgun
The Prime Shotgun is a fun twist on the close-range weapon that was first added last season. It has a mechanic where it does extra damage on the first shot. This is a big multiplier. With a boost of headshots this season, that first shot is a tremendous force. It could be a quick kill. The gun suffers on follow-up, but there are passages with other guns around it.
The prime shotgun may be the game’s top weapon this season. You have a good chance of hitting most of your opponents in the first shot. Even if it doesn’t, you can switch to an SMG and follow up with spray damage. This is one of the better plays to make in Zero Build. In builds, you can use it in box fighting to get the first shot, then reload. It works in box fighting and in the open.
This is one of the best guns in fortnite chapter 3 season 4 weapon tier list.
DMR
The DMR has got a few boosts similar to the Hunter bolt-action sniper. However, there is a big difference. The DMR has a much bigger magazine, it also fires faster with more forgiving mechanics. This means that you don’t do as much damage. This is a bargain. However, it is worth making for a lot of players.
It works instead of sniper. If you find it in high rarity it is worth switching out. It’s really just preference, it depends on how confident you are in your goal. Some players may prefer a more forgiving DMR, while still wanting to take advantage of the longer range weaponry this season.
suppressed smg
The Suppressed SMG is back with the latest season of Fortnite. This gun has had some impressive results in the past. It hits quite hard. For an SMG, it does just fine even over a slightly longer range. If you can keep your target in range, it’s almost enough to take down an entire player in a single round.
The suppressed SMG has the potential to be more versatile. Repetition is not that hard to control. Great pic. While its magazine may be a bit short for killing fully recovered enemies, it’s a great combo when paired with a shotgun. Prime’s first shot with a suppressed SMG is a great way to get the best out of both weapons. It can be a fast time to kill. It’s an easy pick for the top of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 weapon tier list.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Weapon Tier List – Tier One
The next level isn’t the same OP as the ones above, but they’re not weak by any measure. All these guns can accomplish this. If you are proficient with them, they can also be the best choice for certain play styles. This level could do with a buff, but they are far from something to be overlooked.
lever action shotgun
The lever action is unvaulted. It is one of the returning weapons. This is a shotgun that debuted in Chapter 2. However, there are some variations in how you can remember it. They make it a little more meaningful. This time the lever action has boosted his headshot damage. Lever action can now kill in one shot in certain situations.
Weapon has only minimal competition this season. Not so many guns. That means it’s easier to put it at the higher end of the tier list because it’s clearly more powerful than Chrome. It doesn’t have such a huge first-shot bonus of Prime. However, it can do consistent damage here with a good headshot multiplier
It’s a bit more forgiving than the prime shotgun. You don’t need to switch out or reload time after one shot. It’s worth a carry if you can’t make an all-or-nothing use of prime work.
hammer assault rifle
While the long-range options have been buffed, AR has not done so well in its season. The Hammer Assault Rifle currently sits at the top of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 weapons list for this type. However, DMR and sniper are stronger. The Hammer can deal some decent damage if you’re accurate.
This weapon is great for more mid-range fights. It’s more forgiving than some of the other options. It also has a faster rate of fire. This could make it more versatile than the Ranger. It doesn’t outperform long-range guns or SMGs, but it’s a good option if you want to stick with assault rifle gameplay.
rapid fire smg
The Rapid Fire SMG is a solid pick for close-range gameplay. It doesn’t have the range and versatility of those buried in it. However, it is a good option. This one is more useful than the other’s mid-range capability. It also fires rapidly but with a recoil.
While opening it in the close quarters, you may incur a lot of loss. If you attach it to the shotgun you can kill very quickly. It may not be suppressed, but if you get it in high rarity it works fine.
Evochrome Burst Rifle
The EvoChrome Burst Rifle is added as one of the new weapons this season. This gun has a unique mechanic. The more damage you take with it, the more rarity you get. It can also be exploited a little. Counting of harmful animals. You can farm wildlife to grind them to a higher level. At the gold level, these are great, but you’ll have to put up with the less rare version for most of the game.
In terms of its actual performance, the EvoChrome Burst rifle is not as strong as a normal Burst. It doesn’t have the same power or accuracy. However, it still has its advantages. When your target is fast, you can take a lot of damage from the EvoChrome.
The biggest thing keeping it so low on the tier list is that there are simply better options. It doesn’t fire quickly enough to be a good substitute for a sniper or DMR. It also lacks the versatility of all SMGs. This AR is struggling to find a place for itself this season. This Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Weapon tier couldn’t be too high on the list. It’s not AR season yet.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 – B Tier
This is the lowest level for the cannons this season. These are not just scratches. They are severely outplayed or don’t have a place in the meta. These guns all have problems. This is the lowest level of the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Weapon Level List:
Evochrome Shotgun
The EvoChrome shotgun is the second new weapon added to the season’s overall Chrome theme. This is a different way of firing. You can probably notice from the reticle, along is more like a straight line. Like the rifle, it increases in rarity the more damage you do.
The EvoChrome Fortnite fits into the weaker category of shotguns. All of them can be divided between hard-hitting and slow or fast and weak. This is definitely a secondary category. It is a bit faster than the competition. You inflict less damage on players, and the spread is much wider, making it more forgiving but far less effective. These downsides are not irrelevant.
The EvoChrome shotgun has a few problems sitting any higher on the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 weapon tier list. This is probably the worst shotgun in the game at the moment. That too by a considerable margin. If you need a more forgiving shotgun, this may be a good fit for you, but for most, it just doesn’t work.
ranger assault rifle
Ranger AR hangs around most of the chapters. It is rarely very high on the tier list. It has got high accuracy. However, it’s slow, lacks scope or vision, and feels completely outplayed.
The Ranger has a place in more accurate long-range AR shots. However, for Season 4 the long-range rifles have taken over this category. There really isn’t much reason to choose the Ranger over the DMR.
sidearm pistol
The Sidearm Pistol is back in being the only handgun in the core loot pool. The game’s pistols aren’t necessarily terrible. There is simply no room for them. They don’t fire fast enough or with enough power to be worth using for something more specific. It works fine for landing loot. For the long haul, though, the sidearm pistol isn’t really worth carrying.
If you find that pistol accuracy works for you, go for an exotic one. There are exotic versions of pistols that give you other benefits like tracking the enemies you hit. You do not need to go for a standard pistol.
They are all weapons from Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 and that’s where they sit. A tier list is subjective, so it’s worth bearing in mind. You may get more value out of a lower weapon if it really matches with your overall playing style. However, for most players, it is largely how they sit at the moment.
The current version of the game has some great bonuses for precision players. You are getting headshot one-shot kills at long range and serious damage at short range as well. These guns are definitely top notch. Those who don’t rely on accuracy sit a bit low, but they’re still viable for certain types of players.
