lead level list
Your lead Pokémon is the first choice you use in every fight. You want it to have a healthy balance of attack power and defense. If it has too much attack power, it will faint very quickly, or you won’t have enough time to swap it for one of your other two options. We generally recommend you use at least one of your shields on this choice.
Tier | pokemon |
s | Galerian Farfetchd, Hitmonchan, Machok and Poliwrath |
a | Hakamo-o, Machamp, Sesbached, and Toxicroaq |
b | Buzzwall, Heracross, Como-O, and Throho |
C | Combusken, Primeape, Sawk, and Sneasler |
D | Chestnut, Phalinx, Gallerian Zapdos, and Scruffy |
switch level list
The Switch Pokémon is the one you usually swap out for your first choice, especially if your lead Pokémon is fighting something against which it is weak. Your Switch Pokémon will have the highest attack power, being able to take down a number of enemies before falling on their own. Therefore, we recommend that you reserve at least one, sometimes two, shields when fighting an opponent.

near level list
The Closer Pokémon is the last Pokémon you use on your roster. This usually has the highest protection of any Pokémon in your roster and is suitable for holding the line against the last Pokémon your opponent is using. We don’t recommend reserving any shields for this Pokémon, but this may vary depending on your fight.
