To understand Rose and her unique powers, players will have to revisit the events of Resident Evil 7. In that game, the main antagonist was Evelyn (E-001), a walking, talking biohazard who took the form of a little girl. Evelyn had the unique ability to take over the minds of those who came in contact with her and give them unique powers, such as the ability to regenerate limbs and perform seemingly supernatural/supernatural feats.
However, this power came at a cost, as his ultimate goal was to create a perverted family. To accomplish this task, E-001 will corrupt the minds of its victims and turn them into violent/psychological versions of themselves, with little or no control over themselves. Resident Evil 7 focuses on another key element of his powers, which was that he was also the result of a shadowy crime syndicate known as The Connections.
The Connections, with the help of a prominent figure known as Mother Miranda, created Evelyn using a sample of this highly specified mold, which influences not only the events of Resident Evil 7 and 8 but the entire series. also affects. But for now, just know that mold is similar to cloud-based storage, in the sense that anyone who comes into contact with the stuff is a part of the genetic network that is mold.

RE7 is worth playing at least once. However, for the sake of brevity and clarity, let’s focus on essential events in connection with the origin of the Rose. The game centers around Ethan and Mia Winters, Rose’s parents.
Before the events of the game, Mia Winters (an agent from The Connections) is given the task of escorting Evelyn along with her co-workers’ ship crew. However, things settle down, and Evelyn seizes the crew and crashes the ship on the property of the Bakers (a down-to-earth family within the Louisiana swamps).
Eventually, Jake Baker finds Mia and Evelyn washed up at his property. What happens next is a three-year nightmare where E-001 forces the Baker family, along with Mia, to kidnap various individuals and kill them in horrific ways. However, Ethan Winters eventually visits the estate in search of Mia, after receiving an old message from Mia recorded moments before the ship’s crash. Sadly, though, it’s not long before Ethan is not only bitten by his wife, but eventually killed by Jake Baker during the introduction of RE7.
Although the game treats this moment as Ethan being knocked out and later magically healed by Zoey Baker (daughter of the Baker family), it is later confirmed in RE8 Village that Ethan was killed by Jack. and was assimilated into the mold. This means that Ethan is essentially nothing but a corpse put together by the mold powers for the rest of Resident Evil 7 and 8. Why Ethan was able to resist Evelyn’s influence is anyone’s guess, but he becomes the first hero in a Resident Evil game to become a bioweapon.
As you might have guessed, Ethan and Mia survive their traumatic experiences at the Baker Estate and are even saved by longtime RE veterans; Chris Redfield.

Following the events of the Baker Estate, Ethan and Mia are placed in a proxy witness protection program somewhere in Eastern Europe through Chris’ connections. During this time, the two have Rose but remember that Ethan is no longer technically human, so Rose is inherently special. Regardless, the Winters family may have a few months of peace until a faithful night out.
Without warning, Chris shoots Mia at Mia and kidnaps Rose. And with these shocking events, the plot of Resident Evil 8 begins.

So to avoid turning this season into a full recap of RE8, just let Mia know that the one Chris was trying to take out was Mother Miranda. It turns out that Miranda is a woman who discovered the mysterious mold after the death of her daughter, Eva. Unfortunately, Eva was taken in by the Spanish flu, and this prompts the grieving Miranda to find another pot for her daughter, using the unique properties of the mold.
However, it would take years to build the four iconic lords as well as test them on the local population; Lady Elsina Dimitrescu, Carl Heisenberg, Donna Beneviento, and Salvatore. Each lord would prove powerful in his own right, but no one was a suitable host for Miranda’s precious Eva. No one till one Rose Winters is born.
What follows is Ethan Winters’ last attempt to free his daughter from Miranda’s clutches. Ethan will take down the four Lords in their respective territories and eventually defeat Mother Miranda with the help of Chris and his special forces team.
A strange, overweight, yet extremely polite merchant (similar to RE4) known as The Duke will also sell Ethan valuable weapons and provide vital clues during his adventure to save Rose. The Duke’s true identity or intentions are never revealed, but it is likely that he possessed the same supernatural abilities as the Four Lords.
Eventually, the real Mia is found alive and well by Chris, and Ethan’s body eventually succumbs to his wounds (including one that breaks his heart). After giving Chris to Rose, the original campaign ends on a sad but optimistic note.
RE saga continues

In a post-credits scene, we are introduced to an adult Rose Winters. Now under the careful supervision of Chris’s team, Rose is seen wearing his iconic jacket on his way to his father’s graveyard. Interestingly, one of the guards jokingly calls her Evelyn, and Rose threatens her with supernatural powers that even Chris is unaware of.
Meanwhile, turning on the agent at any point waits for a sniper team to take him down. This final scene shows that Rose is perhaps even more powerful than Mother Miranda and that Chris sees her as a potential threat as well as an essential ally in the war on bioterrorism.
Based on a recent trailer for the Shadow of Rose DLC, it’s clear that Rose will be using a combination of traditional firearms and mold powers. The trailer also hints that Rose will become conscious of Mold and will even face off against the mysterious Duke.
