Disney Dreamlight ValleyIts biggest problem was its Dream Shards – a resource that was so scarce that a lot of players, including me, were soft-locked for days after the game. However, developer Gameloft says it has fixed the problem by replacing the game’s resource balance issues and fixing other problematic bugs.
Dream shards, a major resource, will now spawn more often – as a reward for feeding animals, cleaning thorns, and digging up sparkling dirt.
dreamlight valley is an Early Access game, and there have been some technical issues that have hindered some of that enjoyment lately. I’m playing on the Xbox Series X via Xbox Game Pass, and based on what I’ve heard and read, it’s in much better shape than the Nintendo Switch version, which is apparently constantly crashing or glitching. . I haven’t experienced a technical glitch more than once or twice in the 19 hours I’ve played, which I don’t find erratic. but I passed That imbalanced resource was held in place by spawning.
I’ve reached a quest line that brings a curse on the village—one that locks all the villagers inside their homes, except goddamn Christophe, Merlin, and Rapunzel’s mother. To progress, I need five Dream Shards, which are incredibly rare. For reference, after 19 hours, I have none. You need to clear them to have a chance to find thorns, and only a few thorns a day spawn – unless you’re unlocking a new area. Respawned Thorns didn’t provide any Dream Shards for me, so I grind cooking and fishing to open a new area to unlock Dreamlight points.
See above: My house is full of cups of cooked fish and fruit. (Because of everyone’s homes being locked up, I couldn’t even sell anything, which meant I had to drop everything on the ground.)
After a few hours, I had enough Dreamlight points to unlock a new area full of thorns. Unfortunately, these thorns gave me coins and seeds – not a single dream shard. And so I had to start the process of re-grinding Dreamlight points, hoping to find five Dream Shards one day. At that rate, it would have taken over a week, which wouldn’t have been terrible if I could have really done anything else in the game.
But it didn’t take me more than a week because I found the solution By tracing the developer’s Twitter account: Gameloft sent 25 Dream Shards to all players for balance issues; My issues are now resolved, and my city is free. So if you’re having this problem, check your mailbox – even if there’s nothing in the game to indicate you have mail. It’s a Band-Aid at a design problem, even if the Band-Aid is invisible to someone who isn’t checking Twitter.
Thanks to this update, which Gameloft said is rolling out in a few hours, Dream Shards should have no problems. But if they are, know that your mailbox is hoarding Dream Shards, too.
Gameloft didn’t mention whether it changed spawn rates for any other items – flowers and other forest resources were also slowly being spawned – but the Knight Shard adjustment would give a lot of players a lot of freedom.
