Midler has garnered a massive following over the years and is a notable LGBTQ+ icon.
Mary Sanderson as Kathy Najimi

Kathy Najimi returns in Mary Sanderson as the middle Sanderson sister, a witch who can smell children and bears the brunt of some classic Hocus Pocus jokes—for example, riding a vacuum instead of a broom. As with the original Hoax, Najimi is best known for her work as Sister Mary Patrick in both Sister Act films. Najimi is also a notable activist, where she frequently speaks on women and LGBT rights, among many others.
Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson

Sarah Jessica Parker rounds out the returning trio of the Witch sisters, in which she returns to play as Sarah Sanderson. Her character is the shortest and meets the “dumb blonde” stereotype as she is incredibly flirtatious, yet retarded. She is also often referred to as the most beautiful and acts like a mermaid. As for Sarah Jessica Parker, she is best known for her work as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. However, Sarah Jessica Parker is famous for her work in fashion and many other things as a television producer.
Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson

The last returning character is Doug Jones, returning in the role of Billy Butcherson. For those who didn’t remember, Billy is a misunderstood zombie who was revived during the original film by his original killer, Winifred Sanderson. Doug Jones is incredibly well-known for his depictions of creatures and human-adjacent characters, with some of his most notable work being for films such as Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, The Shape of Water, and Star Trek: Discovery.
