It’s almost time for the annual PS5 Black Friday deals, a sale period where retailers offer deep discounts on game consoles, accessories, and games.
Black Friday 2022 falls on November 25 this year, but expect to see discounts up to a week ahead. Although we’re unlikely to see a sale on the PS5 console, Black Friday deals are going to be abundant when it comes to the best PS5 games and gear.
During Prime Day earlier this year, there were some great deals on SSD and PS5 storage expansion cards, which let you download and install more games at any time. We think we’ll see even better discounts on tech during the Black Friday sale. This might also be a good time to pick up the best PS5 headset or one of the best PS5 accessories.
Some of the best PS5 Black Friday deals will be on the games themselves, and we expect to see deals on new games like Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us Part I, as well as older exclusives like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. ,
The PS5 has been around for two years, but, due to the ongoing semiconductor shortage, it has been consistently tough to get your hands on the console. It’s unlikely, however, that we’ll see a decrease on the consoles themselves – especially as Sony has hiked the price of the hardware. It’s important to keep your eye on the PS5 restock update just in case. In fact, given that we’re unlikely to see sales on consoles during Black Friday, we’d recommend buying a console if you see one available rather than waiting until Black Friday, when demand will be even higher.
There were also significant savings on PlayStation Plus subscriptions last year that we’ll almost certainly see again and again. This is one of the best PS5 Black Friday deals, as it can result in huge savings throughout the year. Overall, last year the PS5 was one of the most searched products on Earth last Black Friday, creating as much consumer demand as the iPhone and iPad (via Statista.com).

As mentioned above, before Black Friday begins, it may be best to cash in on the higher PS5 shares now. The following sites in the UK and US offer the best deals on PS5s before and during the Black Friday sale frenzy. While it’s less of a concern than it used to be, stocks are still an issue, so we’ve provided you with as wide a range of potential sellers as possible.

Should you wait for the Black Friday PS5 deal?
When it comes to the console itself, we’d recommend not waiting. You shouldn’t have to wait for Black Friday deals if you see the PS5 on sale for a price you can afford. It is highly unlikely that there will be a discount on the console itself. Even Amazon hasn’t offered flash sales on the console, so we’re unlikely to see a price cut anytime soon.
It’s a different story when it comes to games and accessories. If you’re looking to buy a game that arrived in 2021 — or even earlier this year — it’s worth holding off until the big retailers start their Black Friday sales. This goes double for accessories, which could see a significant price reduction in this period as well.

When will the best Black Friday PS5 deals start in 2022?
Black Friday is technically on November 25, However, discounts on games and accessories can happen a few weeks before the big day. For example, last year we saw sales on the critically acclaimed Deathloop in early November. Although it might be worth staying until the big day. Last year, there was a small sale on Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut in October, and then the price dropped significantly on Black Friday itself. So when it comes to new or more high-profile games, our advice is to wait for the big day.
We’ll pull together all the deals we’ve seen ahead of Black Friday and let you know if we think the discounts are too good to wait. So be sure to check back here to not miss any great gaming deals.

Will we see a shortage of PS5 stock on Black Friday?
almost certainly. High demand for the PS5 as well as the ongoing microchip shortage means that, while there are more consoles available than last year, this is when a lot of people will be looking to buy the PS5, so the stock will get diluted. This is why we recommend buying the PS5 as soon as possible, to avoid any potential stock issues near Black Friday.
What kind of Black Friday PS5 deals can we expect this year?
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be a PS5 Black Friday deal on the console itself. However, we can expect deals on accessories and SSD cards. There should be discounts on both first-party gear like the PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headset and third-party offerings like the Turtle Beach Stealth 700.
One of the most expensive upgrades you can buy for your PS5 is an SSD, but the extra storage for your console lets you keep a larger library of games installed and ready to play. Black Friday is one of the best times of year to pick up SSDs, they enjoy great discounts and there are often plenty of options to choose from. SSDs, during Prime Day in July, were among the best deals we’ve seen during the week—just make sure you don’t buy the wrong one.
As far as discounts on games are concerned, in addition to the sale offered on last year’s Black Friday, it looks like we’ll be on the lookout for Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, and possibly even The Last of Us Part I. See also discount. This could very well be a chance to pick up three of the best PS5 games of the year.

Last year, it was the games that made for the best deals Returnal, Alan Wake Remastered, and Death Stranding were some of last year’s great deals and their prices may drop further this year.
We also saw some great deals on accessories, most importantly SSD cards. Sorting out storage for your PS5 console has never been more cost-effective, and there are likely to be more SSD card sales during the coming Black Friday.

Tips for Getting the Best Black Friday PS5 Deals
Here are our top three tips for securing a great Black Friday PS5 deal:
1. Look for Bundles
If you’re planning on getting the console, check out the bundle. Even though these are unlikely to see a drop in prices, they are very affordable and can kill two birds with one stone if you are looking for a special accessory or game.
2. You don’t have to wait for Black Friday
Remember, although that’s less of a problem this year, PS5 stock is still a significant factor. If you see a bundle you love and it’s not Black Friday yet, we’d recommend taking the plunge anyway to avoid disappointment.
3. Shop Around
Be sure to shop around. Different retailers often offer different sales and special deals on given products. Don’t make your own life difficult – play in the field and see what’s on offer. This is also important if you want to buy the console yourself, as stock can be an issue.
