Junker Queen is one of the new characters to launch with Overwatch 2, but sources confirm that she will be discontinued before its October release.
Unless that changes in the future, Blizzard’s latest game, Overwatch 2, will be available in October, and it will be free to play.
In addition to new graphics, maps, game modes, skins, battle passes and all the other little things, Overwatch 2 will also allow us to play three new heroes. Although we don’t know anything about one of them, we got a chance to try out the new tank and DPS.
Sojourn was fun to play, but Junker Queen was imposing. This hero did more damage than most DPS, and it was almost impossible to kill because of the lifeguard. It seems that the player and the staff of OW 2 will be shut down because the hero is too strong.
Hi everyone! Nayak team is monitoring the latest @overwatchleague Play, plus our own internal tests, and have decided to bring down the Junker Queen’s overall power. Change will start after Summer Showdown and will be included in #overwatch2 launch. I

Change
After getting a brief taste of his skills in the second beta that ended in July, Aaron Keller, one of the people behind Overwatch 2, announced that there would be changes to the protagonist. According to his tweet, the team has “decided to reduce Junker Queen’s overall power”.
We’ll have to wait until the changes are available as Aaron Keller said that the changes will start rolling out after Summer Showdown. The good news is that they will be available on October 4th when Overwatch 2 is due to be released. We don’t know what to expect, but we believe there will be some changes to Jagged Balde and Carnage.
Since this tank has no shield, it relies on doing damage to survive. However, reducing life-style abilities would most likely be a bad idea as the hero would not be able to survive as much.
The Nerfs After Summer Showdown
As Aaron Keller confirmed in his tweet, there will be nerfs after the 2022 Summer Showdown tournament. As you probably know, the LAN event will take place this October in Toronto, and since the event is scheduled to take place on October 8-11, we expect the new changes to go live soon.
