The cult of lamb is like the demonic love child of Hades and Stardew Valley, to keep things ruthless. It can also be a tough game to get into, so here are some beginner tips to help you get started.

In the early stages of Cult of the Lamb, resources will be a bit scarce, especially if you have a handful of mouths to feed and you still have a lot of stuff in your Cult. As such, you’ll want to take full advantage of Darkwood’s offering by breaking down what you see.
In doing so, you’ll find many useful resources, such as bones, grass, and meat. These items can be used to cook food to prevent their followers from starving or to practice rituals such as funerals and weddings later in the game.
You can also get some precision stones by destroying the changes that move along each path, so be sure to take full advantage of doing this every time you run into one.
You obviously don’t need to do this much later in the game, as the Cult becomes fairly self-sufficient, but you’re still welcome to destroy whatever you see for the catharsis.

Despite the fact that everything in Cult of the Lamb is procedurally generated, there are still some tips and tricks you can learn as you navigate the various paths and rooms in the game. For example, did you know that each new entrance you enter tells you where you’re headed?
Whenever you see a red sword floating in the middle of the walkway, you’ll enter a combat room. If you look up and there is a mobile with stars and a crescent moon, it means you are walking into the tarot card room. Similarly, if you look up and see wooden weapons, you are entering a room with a weapon merchant.

As you begin to progress in Darkwood, you should unlock two important things: Church and Follower interactions. Both of these will play a vital role in improving and maintaining trust among followers and in enhancing your hero’s skills, weapons, and abilities.
For the church, you want to be sure to practice a sermon every day, as you will receive devotion from your followers that lets you level your curses and weapons on the crusade. Being able to survive plays a big part when it comes to tough encounters at Anchordeep and Silk Cradle.
For cult conversations, you also want to make sure you praise the waiter once they’ve unlocked this action. Doing this not only increases your trust, but it also increases the level-up bar of your followers. When followers level up, they’ll allow you to unlock principles and rituals.
Don’t Worry If the Cultists Die
When I first started playing Cult of Lambs, I was really scared that my cultists would die. I did everything I could to make sure they were fed and healthy enough to make sure they lived a long time.
Despite this, many of them are still dead. Heck, one of my deaths was from food poisoning, and the other died watching that person die because they feared death. The thing is, dying cultists are part of the gameplay loop.
When they die, you are able to do things that benefit the cult. You can bury them and perform funeral rites, which allows you to cultivate devotion from their graves every day. You can also cut their bodies and sell the meat for coins.
Even if you manage to keep everyone alive, aging is still a thing in the game, and it comes pretty quickly. If you have a character that’s been with you from day one, there’s a good chance they’ll die of old age before they even get to the second boss. That’s just how the game works. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to convert them, so you’ll end up with no less than dedicated followers to help you build your cult.
Invest in wood and stone
In Cult of the Lamb building your cult it doesn’t take long to realize that wood and stone make up about half the resource requirements for building and fixing things in the game. Whether you’re building a shelter to give your followers a good night’s sleep or creating a demonic summoning circle to aid you on a crusade, you’ll definitely need at least one of these resources.
Thankfully, there are many different ways you can obtain wood and stone, both naturally and as a part of building your cult. In the beginning, the easiest way to get them is by mining stones or chopping wood around the farm.
Once you run out of it, you can also get a bunch by picking up rock or wooden symbols during the Crusades. Eventually, when demand gets too high, and you’re running low on resources, you’ll want to build lumberyards and stone mills where your followers can work and get more. Just keep in mind that both of these eventually break down and need to be replaced.
Buildings/objects can be destroyed and moved
Now, I’m not ashamed to admit that it took me too long to play Cult of Lambs to realize that you can actually destroy things or move them once they’re on your farm. was kept. It’s honestly something that a lot of people will probably miss, to be fair.
All you have to do is visit the signpost you usually use to create new items once you have enough resources. To activate Build Mode, simply press X on Xbox or Square on PlayStation in this menu.
It will now let you choose pretty much everything, except change, and give you the option to move or delete it. This comes in handy when you have overplotted your farm and want to make some space or if you just want to refocus on where your promotional speakers are for efficiency.
Compete with bosses after beating them
As I mentioned a little earlier, whenever you participate in a transformation into the wild during a crusade, you must break that bad boy into pieces to get his devotion and stones. This is even more true when you have defeated the specific bishop who rules the area in Cult of the Lamb, as it will allow you to fight that boss for some nice rewards.
All you have to do is jump into the red portal created after destroying the idol, and it will lead you into a boss fight. There’s nothing different about fighting, and it’ll probably get a lot easier, especially if you’ve upgraded your abilities since the last time you fought.
When you beat them, you’ll get tons of coins and there’s even the possibility of some sweet drops like tarot cards and follower forms. Unfortunately, it’s RNG based, so there’s no guarantee what you’ll get every time. Still, it’s worth it, especially if you need some extra coins.
