Multiverse is making waves with its genius combination of Smash Bros-like combat and Warner Bros.-owned characters (and a pretty obvious flex of their IP). You can get over 1% of your power as Shaggy, fly around as Superman, and even win basketball as LeBron James. However, Warner Bros. could have done a lot more, so here they are 10 characters we’d love to see more of in the multiverse next.
Mask

The mask is cartoon violence that, when brought to reality, creates chaos, gives the wearer unlimited power, and breaks some jokes when the mood strikes (which happens all the time). This is why The Mask is a must-have in the multiverse, specifically the Stanley Ipkiss version; Naturally, Jim Carrey should voice him too, just to bring in his one-liners. The mask can fit almost any role, given its powers. Do it, Player First Games!
betelgeuse

Why in the world was Betelgeuse (or Beetlejuice) not part of the original roster? His full personality and ghostly powers are perfect for the multiverse; He would fit just fine as a mage or assassin. Imagine a scramble that causes the sandworm to appear briefly or shrink from losing its head. Bring Michael Keaton into the mix so that you can still voice the lines while you’re at it.
harry potter

Many people would immediately put Harry Potter in the mage class, and they wouldn’t be wrong, but due to the nature of spells, they can easily be designed to fit any role. On the one hand, developers could fill his kit with offensive spells, making him fit as a mage or bruiser; On the other hand, he can just as easily be given abilities that match an assassin or support, such as becoming invisible or protecting allies.
Ben Tennyson

It’s also a no brainer. For the uninitiated, Ben Tennyson is a 10-year-old kid wearing an alien device called the Omnitrix. This gives him the superhuman ability to transform into various species such as an arburian plectrota and pyronite, among many other species. This means that Ben Tennyson can be designed to fit any role the developers have decided upon.
gollum

Scheming, deceitful, sly, cool and vicious—that’s Gollum in a nutshell, and he would fit in well as an assassin. This is not the Gollum you know from Lord of the Rings, but a Gollum at the very height of his power, who is supposed to wield the One Ring. Imagine a Gollum who is phased in and out of the world in between his attacks, making it particularly difficult to defend himself.
samurai jack

Samurai Jack would easily fit into the role of bruiser or assassin; Her abilities and skills practically call for it. Jack wouldn’t be bad as a tank either, but he’s a lot more mobile, and being a tank can force a play style that doesn’t quite match his character. If we had to choose, Samurai Jack would be an excellent assassin, weaving combos with his sword.
valhallen

The Viking God of rock himself, Valhallen, would rock as a mage, backing, or straight tank, with his pretty pink guitar and flowing golden locks. It all depends on how his guitar will be used, whether it’s defensive, offensive, or a mix of both. Valhallen is shown firing sound waves and electricity from his guitar, which sounds an awful lot like a magician.
the grim Reaper

The Grim Reaper from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy will be a great addition to the multiverse. Grimm’s abilities are unlimited, though he does get a little pushy at times, so Bruiser and Tank are out. While Grimm would fit right in with Mages, we’d love to see her take on the supporting role, obstructing and weakening her dark powers.
poison ivy

Plant-lover, Poison Ivy, one of Batman’s recurring enemies in DC Comics, would fit right in with the roster of the Multiverse. Poison Ivy is another character whose abilities can fit almost any role, except in the tank class. Developers can lean into his power over toxins and support him or use his power over plants to become a mage or killer.
Neo, one

There is no logic on the planet that could convince us not to include Neo. For starters, Neo is easily recognizable in pop culture, with only the release of Resurrection. In the end, Neo’s powers can put him in any role, although we all know he’ll be wasted in support class. Imagine flying around or wielding a variety of weapons and, of course, their skills as a martial artist.
and it’s the last 10 characters we’d love to see more of in the multiverse next. For more on Multiverse, check out Twinfight to find out if the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch. More importantly, if you’re a Rick & Morty fan, did you know they’re being added to the roster?
