One of the best parts about the anime is getting to see a bunch of powerful characters that exaggerate the moves and abilities that would ever happen in the real world. Still, even then, there are some anime characters that exist in the genre that are so overt to their own worlds that it’s unfair.
Below, we’ve compiled a list of six anime characters that are pretty much the OP for their universes. Be sure to leave any ones we haven’t covered in the comments section below.
Saitama – One Panch Mann

When One Punch Man’s anime debuted in 2015, it was all one could talk about, garnering a lot of mainstream attention, even from non-anime fans. This was all thanks to its interesting and heavily satirical premise.
The anime follows Saitama, an ordinary businessman who one day decides he wants to be a part-time superhero. Committed to a strict workout regimen, he soon finds success as a hero, defeating his enemies with ease.
In fact, he defeats them very easily. Every time he hits a punch, Saitama completely wipes out his opponents.
It doesn’t matter if they’re taller than a skyscraper or look like they can cut you someone in half, he can beat them in just one punch every time. This frustrates him by the end, because it means he has nothing to work with because it all turned out to be so easy.
So far in the anime, we’ve yet to see anything challenging this overpowering protagonist, even Season 1’s final boss, Boros, only handling a serious punch from Saitama before being defeated. were capable. Here’s hoping someone will eventually be able to give him a worthy fight, because this character is so OP that he finds his life boring.
Orsted – Mushoku Tensei

As one of the newer anime on this list, it wouldn’t be too surprising if you haven’t yet heard of Orsted’s insane abilities in Mushoku Tensei. However, being new doesn’t make him any less powerful.
In Mushoku Tensei, Orsted is referred to as the Dragon God, a title given to the strongest member of the Dragon Tribe, a race of dragon humanoids known for their insane strength and ability to fly. Basically, he starts out as an adversary, nearly killing Rudius twice because of his affiliation with Hitogami. In the meantime, we see him pulling off some crazy stuff.
So far, we’ve seen Orsted be able to decimate almost any spell that’s thrown at him, heal a huge hole in one’s chest in seconds, and easily withstand attacks from any weapon. Can do. Any of these abilities would make the character OP in most universes, but it’s actually a far cry from what we’ve seen of the Mushoku Tensei world.
Prime All Might – My Hero Academia

One look at All Meets My Hero Academia, and you can tell this dude is seriously powerful. His jawline can probably outweigh most villains.
Given that he begins the anime as the world’s number one hero, it’s totally understandable that he’s the OP, especially since he single-handedly stopped a villain who has been plaguing the world for centuries. It was all for one. All accomplished this with a flurry of crazy moves, including those so powerful they summon stormtroopers in their wake.
The funniest part is that the All Might we see at the beginning of the series is nowhere near as powerful as it used to be before his limbs were damaged while fighting All For One. After his fight with Nomu in Season 1, the protagonist states that it took him 300 punches to defeat this enemy, while he would have only taken five in his prime.
Keep in mind that the enemy he was fighting was not only the strongest the show had ever offered, but All Might blew him miles away with his punches. This means that the character was 60 times more powerful in his prime, which is insane considering how OP he is already in his current state.
Aizen – Bleach

When it comes to Bleach, there are few characters who are more intimidated — but also beloved by fans — as Aizen. This creepy fear is the main antagonist of the story and as such, possesses some very crazy and terrifying abilities.
First, Aizen is able to predict literally anything and everything that might happen, a feat so powerful that the heroes can’t even find a way to actually execute him, because he’s too much to work with. It is canonically strong. He has no real weakness.
Along with this, Aizen is also capable of manipulating people’s senses and making them delusional. Even if said person knows they are under an illusion, it doesn’t matter, as this Captain-level Shinigami’s ability is too powerful to overcome.
Meruem – Hunter x Hunter

Hunter x Hunter’s Merum was bred to be the most powerful on the planet, as his mother tasked her soldiers with bringing in only the strongest creatures to feed him in order to provide sustenance for her son. However, she could not even predict how indestructible the King of Chimera Ants would be.
After just a few days of being alive, Merume had already mastered being a specialist, which resulted in Nan giving her superhuman intelligence, strength, speed, reflexes, agility, and defense. Right out of the gate, he was fairly unbeatable, outwitting human and chimera opponents alike with ease.
A short list of his achievements include: performing the gy immediately after birth, using an en that covers an area much wider than the palace grounds that spread faster than light, and defeating Netoro in battle. Is. Any one of those feats might have overpowered him, yet he managed to do all three in a matter of days.
If Netero’s poor man’s rose had never descended, there is no doubt that Merume would have grown stronger over time somehow.
Regulus cornea – zero again
anime characters who are too OP

When compared to its main protagonist, Natsuki Suburu, almost every character in Rey: Zero prevails, as this ordinary man is teleported into a world full of dangerous magical creatures who are essentially walking gods. However, of all we’ve seen so far, the Sinn Archbishop of the Witch Cult, who represents greed, Regulus Cornea, might be the scariest.
While we haven’t seen much from Regulus, his feats and powers are already pretty insane, as he is able to touch anyone or stop time for himself and an immense power, known as authority. , which makes him very invincible. This ability also grants him infinite life, energy projection, physics disregard, superhuman strength and self-sufficiency, just to name a few.
Regulus single-handedly destroyed entire cities, resulting in being known as the deadliest Sinn Archbishop of the Witch Cult and one of the most Opie characters on the show.
Satoru Gojo – Jujutsu Cassano
anime characters who are too OP

Jujutsu Kaisen is made up of lots of insanely powerful wizards and spirits, each with their own powers capable of destroying full cities’ worth of people. And while its main antagonist, Tsukuna, is believed to be the most powerful of them all, we haven’t actually seen her at full power yet.
Did you know that we’ve seen enemies completely destroy enemies with barely a move of a finger? The greatest magician in the world, Satoru Gojo.
Gozo has been on screen in the short amount of time in the anime so far, he has already shown that he cannot be touched thanks to his infinite/infinite techniques, resulting in an insane defense. He also doesn’t budge aggressively, as both his hollow purple attack and unlimited void domain expansion proved to be too game-over for his opponents.
If all this doesn’t convince you how this guy is the OP, see how the villain reacts to his presence. Not only do they literally plan when he’s supposed to be on the scene, but they all leave every time he shows up, because they know they can’t take him.
Mob – Mob Psycho 100
anime characters who are too OP

Like One Pooch Man, the entire premise of Mob Psycho 100 revolves around a hero who is so powerful that they barely have to try when they do eventually fight. Instead of the balding 25-year-old superhero, however, this anime tells the story of Shigio Kageyama (aka The Mob), a teenage esper.
At first glance, you won’t think much of the crowd, as he comes across as your average timid, vulnerable teen. Talking to him will not give you any idea of his strength, as he is shy and somewhat emotionless.
There’s good reason for this, though, as whenever the mob’s spirits rise and he gets the better, he explodes with psychic power. In the two seasons we’ve seen so far, this kid is so powerful that he’s able to level up entire cityscapes and go toe-to-toe with villains who honed his powers for decades more than he did. are doing.
One can only imagine how much more powerful the mob would become if he actually used his powers over and over again, especially since he is still very young.
Rimuru Tempest – That Time I Was Reborn as a Slime
anime characters who are too OP
When Satoru Mikami was reincarnated into his new life as a slime known as Rimuru Tempest, he was literally born with the most powerful ability ever physically. Called hunter, this unique skill gives this slime the power to absorb, analyze, then mimic any skill, ability, or appearance.
This means that whenever Rimuru encounters a situation or type of enemy he has never encountered before, he can easily adapt and overcome it using this skill – not to mention that It absorbs those skills for its own use later. They can appear whatever they want, as the ability gives them the option to resize them accordingly.
As the series progresses, this hunter skill allows Rimuru to come up with any power he can think of. These powers include teleportation, absorption, soul manipulation, healing and supernatural power, just to name a few. So far, there’s nothing this character hasn’t been able to learn or overcome, making them the definition of superpower.
Anya Forger – Spy x Family
anime characters who are too OP
Compared to the rest of the characters on this list, involving a six-year-old might seem like an odd choice. If you’ve ever seen Spy X Family, you’ll know why Anya Forger is quite the OP, especially for the world she lives in.
You see, Anya is no ordinary girl. This cute orphan with pink hair really has the ability to read people’s minds. Thanks to this, she is able to read and anticipate situations, doing the right thing by reading people’s minds to give them what they want or to do something that benefits her.
The strangest thing is that no one else in this world has superpowers – at least that’s what we’ve seen so far. Thanks to Anya’s powers, this gives her a distinct advantage over the rest of the world, even when she’s dealing with adults, making her a lot more choices for her earthly universe.
